We are saddened by news of the passing of Helen Lusi, teacher, botanist, naturalist of many talents, and longtime supporter of the Natural History Survey. Read her obituary here. After years of effort by many, the General Assembly passed RI’s first comprehensive invasive plant law. Before the law can come into full force, RIDEM needs to create invasive criteria, recognize a list of invasive plants, and finalize regulations.
