The 13th annual Rhode Island BioBltiz will be held Friday and Saturday, June 8 and 9, in Jamestown, hosted by the Jamestown Conservation Commission and the Town of Jamestown, together with major sponsor Roger Williams Park Zoo, the proprietors of four working farms on the site, and other conservation land owners. The site is approximately 600 acres surrounding Great Creek, in the central portion of Conanicut Island, in the middle of Narragansett Bay. It is like a sampler pack of habitat types, including a little bit of just about everything from rocky seashore to tidal creek and salt marsh, from mature forest to pasture, and from shrub swamp to stream.

All participants must pre-register and be assigned to a team.

All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver upon check-in at the site.
There was a non-mandatory bioblitz orientation, Thursday, May 3, 5:30-8:30 p.m., at Roger Williams Park Zoo Education Center. Information from that meeting is now on the Team page.
